Idea Progression So Far

My progression so far (idea for the A2 piece and observational studies)

Observational Drawings:

Continuous Line Study (fine liner)

I really like this piece, the lines which overlap and go over each other are very delicate and refined, the lines show curvature which is portrayed as delicate.

Emphasis on Shapes Study (biro)

Refined Study and Embroidery:

I used brusho to create the washed background so I wasn't just working on plain white, I focused on the colours in our piece and decided that the most appropriate was Turquoise and Scarlet. I used a fine liner to draw the negative space around the string, I think its come out with some very interesting forms which I love. For my A2 Piece I am going to recreate the drawn one, I will use a brusho background and focus on line and form.
